Quantum Key Distribution for d-level systems with Generalized Bell States
نویسنده
چکیده
We introduce a generalization of Hadamard and the controlled not gates which together with the generalized Bell states, enable us to introduce new methods for quantum key distribution (QKD) of d-level quantum states (qudits). In case of eavesdropping, an error rate of d−1 d is introduced in Bob’s received qudits, so that for large d, comparison of only a tiny fraction of received qudits with the sent ones detect the presence of Eve.

متن کاملEntanglement Swapping of Generalized Cat States and Secret Sharing
We introduce generalized cat states for d-level systems and obtain concise formulas for their entanglement swapping with generalized Bell states. We then use this to provide both a generalization to the d-level case and a transparent proof of validity for an already proposed protocol of secret sharing based on entanglement swapping.
متن کاملThree particle Hyper Entanglement: Teleportation and Quantum Key Distribution
Entanglement acts as an important resource for quantum information and communication. With entanglement between two quantum bits, protocols have been demonstrated for teleporting an unknown qubit [1], denser coding of information [2] and secure communication [3]. An arbitrary qubit can be teleported from one particle to another, irrespective of the distance, with the use of an entangled pair of...
متن کاملThe local distinguishability of any three generalized Bell states
We study the problem of distinguishing maximally entangled quantum states by using local operations and classical communication (LOCC). A question of fundamental interest is whether any three maximally entangled states in C ⊗ C(d ≥ 4) are distinguishable by LOCC. In this paper, we restrict ourselves to consider the generalized Bell states. And we prove that any three generalized Bell states in ...
متن کاملUnconditionally Secure Quantum Payment System
A potentially serious problem with current payment systems is that their underlying hard problems from number theory may be solved by either a quantum computer or unanticipated future advances in algorithms and hardware. A new quantum payment system is proposed in this paper. The suggested system makes use of fundamental principles of quantum mechanics to ensure the unconditional security witho...
